Swimming Pool Building, Kernock Cottages, Cornwall

Kernock Cottages is situated in the Lynher Valley, Cornwall and offers five restored barns set in a 25-acre private estate. All the cottages have been awarded the luxury 5* Gold rating by Visit Britain – the highest award in self-catering holiday accommodation.

The client wished to expand the available facilities to include a new games room and swimming pool complex. Designed to blend in with its immediate surroundings the new building has been sensitively designed using larch cladding and local rustic stone. Solar panels on the roof and air source heat pumps enforce the new building's green credentials, with the solar panels contributing electricity to the site at large..
